A little about me

I’m Rubbaan

I was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur. My journey began in Mechatronics Engineering, but along the way i discovered a deeper calling behind the lens.

Photography became more than a passion, it became a way for me to observe, feel, and tell stories through light, nature, people, portraiture and fashion.

Relationship with nature

I have always been deeply connected to nature and adventures. I admire the beauty and life that nature brings to this world, and it's constantly inspires the way i see and captured moments.

This connection is what inspired the name Flo and Fau, derived from Flora and Fauna, a reflection of my appreciation for the natural world and the stories within it.

Photography

If nature is my first true love, photography became my second. What began as simple moments, photographing sunsets, friends while camping, hiking and mountains slowly grew into something deeper.

Over time, the camera became my way of seeing the world, eventually leading me to explore portraits, fashion and product photography, where i could capture people, expression, style and details through my lens.

Interesting Fact

In addition to photography, I am also a self-taught graphic designer. I independently developed this skill to support my creative work, producing visual designs and materials relevant to my projects.

I have experience in photo and video editing, creating simple visual effects, and planning as well as setting up scenes for product photography.
